Ecommerce Done Right

The Power of a Perfect Product Tour

Through clear and concise visual presentations, brands are turning to creative solutions as one of the ways to increase clicks and conversion rates.  Through advanced, compelling product images and videos, consumers are able to interact and connect with products in a digital store unlike before–delivering the in-store experience right to their smartphone, tablet, or computer.

The Numbers Don’t Lie

**The average internet user spends 88% more time on a website with a video. (Mist Media)
**64% of consumers are more likely to buy a product after watching a video about it. (comScore)
**52% of consumers say that watching product videos makes them more confident in their online purchase decisions. When a video is information-intensive, 66% of consumers will watch the video two or more times. (Internet Retailer)
**Internet video traffic will be 69% of all global consumer Internet traffic in 2017. (Cisco)

So Now What?

It’s no secret that now more than ever people are watching more and more interactive web video content from their smartphone and tablet devices. So why shouldn’t brands and retailers include these options and experiences in their online store? Maybe budget, can’t find the right vendor, their website is not mobile ready, etc. What the excuse, however, when it comes down to it, there really is no good answer for not having interactive content and videos.

Here are some tips to improve your product page and online customer experience:

Show, Don’t Tell

Enhance a product’s in-depth description with concise, engaging videos with product shots that highlight certain features. Lead consumers to the best and unique features–Don’t rely that it will “just happen.”

Inspire Your Buyers

Through in-depth videos, let consumers be introduced to your product and explore its endless possibilities.

Humanize Your Product

Product demonstrations that examine features, usage, and tips leave consumers feeling educated, informed, and confident in your product.

Create a “Hands-On Experience”

Giving consumers the opportunity to virtually interact with your products makes them more likely to purchase. Product 360s, interactive parts, etc.

Final Thought

Whatever your product is, be sure to do ecommerce right by delivering product details and content with heightened interactive features. Make sure that all your featured content is accessible and easy for consumers to find and interactive with–and preferably located all together (i.e. directly on or around the main product/hero image). Increase product engagement time and brand awareness, which will in turn result in a confident buyer and increased conversion rates.
